Finalization of ‘Inclusive Education’ manual

Being one of the most important projects of Shuchona Foundation, the in-house resource team has been working on finalizing the manual on ‘Inclusive Education’. The team made the necessary changes to the manual based on the feedback from validation workshop organized by Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) in July and aligned it to the experiential learning and changed assessment approach proposed in the new national curriculum. As per the MoU signed with DPE in December 2021, SF is providing technical assistance in implementing the sub-component 2.6 of PEDP4* which is SEND* framework. From February 2023 (expected), SF will provide master training to 135 education officials of DPE, who will train 2052 trainers, and will further train 1,30,000 teachers of government primary schools.
On 19 December, the team along with Chairperson, Saima Wazed sat with our technical consultant and manual co-developer, Professor M. Tariq Ahsan, Ph.D., an international expert on inclusive education, who has helped design a research project with Shuchona Foundation to measure the impact of this training in government public schools around the country. The chairperson discussed strategies for the next-level implementation in accordance with the project plan.
